Myth & Mouth
with Boxcutter Collective
Café & Bookstore
On Sunday July 16, Myth & Mouth presents a special program led by the Boxcutter Collective, a group of artists who have bonded over performance, play, and puppets. With the help of puppets, cantastoria, and live music they have made a series of short stories about the tribulation and jubilation of living in these times in New York City.
This event is free and open to all families, and all ages. Prior registration is recommended, drop-ins are welcome pending availability.

The Boxcutter Collective is made up of 6 core members: Sam Wilson, Jason Hicks, Tom Cunningham, Joseph Therrien, Ali Dineen, and Darkin Brown. Our event will feature members Ali Dineen, Darkin Brown, and Sam Wilson.
The founding members met while working at the Bread and Puppet Theater. After creating shows together for many years in different combinations, they decided in 2016 to formally band together to harness the power of puppet shows for the forces of good. Since then, they have been relentlessly creating and performing new work including Caveman Ballet, Happyland! Now!!, Everything is Fine, Dimension Zero: Brain Robbers from Outer Space, and The Divinity Supply Company, a collaboration with Peter Schumann from the Bread and Puppet Theater.
In NYC, they have performed at many venues including at La Mama Experimental Theater Club, Coney Island USA, Rubulad, and at the Jalopy Theatre, where they are the theater-in-residence. Their first feature length film, How to Deal with Tantrums is scheduled to be released in 2024.
